Dynamic Analysis of Airborne Structures and Units
In the development of an airborne unit and its installation, the environmental conditions are a main driver of the design. As for the structural substantiation, vibrations and shock are usually a primary concern.
ROM provides dynamic analysis capabilities including Transient Response, Frequency Response, Random Response and Shock Response.
The analysis is based on the FEM model, in which the dynamic behavior is examined based on the structures’ natural frequencies extracted from a modal analysis. When the design is optimized, based on the modal analysis results, the dynamic response of the structure to the vibration or shock input is checked.
The results are used to evaluate acceleration levels on mass units, dynamic stresses and related fatigue effects or dynamic displacements and rotations of critical items.
